Sled dogs race all day and night in extreme conditions: temperatures can fall to minutes 40ºC! They race for a few hours, then they have a rest. Then they have a rest. Then they go again! When they stop, the musher takes care of the dogs first. The dogs eat, then they sleep for two hours. There is one long stop for 36 hours, halfway through the race.
